This is an agreement between UTU Local 194 conductors at Burns Harbor Indiana and the Norfolk Southern and covers all assignments at this
location and all out post assignments covered from this extra board.

1.        The hold-down agreement will be for any vacation or disciplinary vacancies for a period of seven days or longer. It is understood that a            
           week's vacation on a five, six or seven day assignment will be considered as a vacancy.

2.        The senior Bums Harbor employee having a request in writing by fax to the crew caller at least two hours thirty minutes b.efore reporting time   
           of assignment will have the assignment for the duration unless someone returns from vacation with more seniority then they can move to that  
           assignment. If no Bums Harbor employee takes a holddown the conductors working the road at Elkhart will get first chance if no road                
           conductor takes it then yard conductors will be able to fill these assignments in that order.

3.        It is understood at the end of the vacancies the employee will return to their original assignment after working the days of the assignment of     
           the hold-down with no displacement rights to bump.

4.        We the undersigned accept this agreement and it will be in force unless or until someone gives a thirty-day notice to cancel this agreement.
